Membership in the Washington State Farm to School Network connects you to a collaborative, statewide community working together to strengthen farm to school through shared learning, participation, and collective action.

Become a Member

Membership in the Washington State Farm to School Network is free and open to anyone working to strengthen farm to school across Washington — including educators, school nutrition professionals, food producers, students, nonprofit organizations, Tribal communities, state agencies, public health partners, parents, and community advocates.

The Network is a statewide collaborative, member-driven space grounded in shared learning, relationship-building, and collective action. Members help shape priorities, share resources and stories, support regional and statewide collaboration, and advance equitable farm to school policies and practices across Washington.

Connect with others across Washington

Participate in communities of practice, online forum, network action team

Share resources, opportunities, & stories

Engage in advocacy and collective learning

Create tools/visuals to help inform network priorities and strategic direction

Receive updates about events, funding, trainings, policy, etc.

There are many ways to engage with the Network and everyone’s path looks different.


How the Network Operates

The Washington State Farm to School Network is coordinated through statewide collaboration and member participation. Much of the Network’s work happens through:

  • Communities of Practice
  • Regional engagement
  • Network Action Teams
  • Statewide gatherings and learning opportunities

Together, members help strengthen connections between cafeterias, classrooms, farms, gardens, fisheries, food producers, and communities across Washington.

Network Action Teams (NATs) provide logistical and administrative support to ensure coordinated progress towards focus areas. 

Addressing systemic barriers and promoting supportive policies.

Measuring the impact of the network and farm-to-school programs.

Monitoring and guiding day to day network operations.

Amplifying successes and inspiring participation.

Join a Community of Practice

Communities of Practice (CPs) cultivate connection to work towards an equitable, environmentally responsible food systems. Connection is driven through a listserv and scheduled Zoom calls.
